AM CH/UCI International Champion Foxgloves Mad About You, JH, CGC, TT, NRD

 Maddie is our foundation bitch.  She is an exceptional dog exhibiting all the characteristics that we desire in a dog.  Maddie has proven herself in the conformation ring, field, performance events, and as a loyal companion.  She is conformationally correct, loves to hunt, has an extremely good temperament, and is very intelligent.  Basically, she is the dog that you can do whatever you want with, but more importantly she is built to work, and works her job. 

Maddie is an AKC and UCI International Champion in conformation.  But looks aren’t everything if she can’t do what she was bred to do, and that is hunt.  Maddie has a high desire to find that bird, and has earned her JH and is being prepared for her SH this fall.  She strives to be the first dog to the bird.  She has been hunted on wild birds every year and never let us down.  She retrieves out of water and on land.  The water retrieves have been proven with her Novice Retrieving Dog title through the GSPCA.  Her temperament was tested by the American Temperament Test Society and she passed with flying colors.  Maddie has earned her first two legs of her Rally Novice obedience title and is training to do Agility and compete in regular Obedience as well. 

The most I can say for Maddie is that she is our daughter’s best friend.  She plays dress up, sleeps with her each night, and follows her around the house.  She has shown for my daughter in the Pee Wee Handling class in the UKC and also at local kennel club matches.  It is not uncommon to see the two of them watching TV together on the couch, or Maddie getting that last bit of snack at the end of a meal.  She has been conscious of my daughter from 12 weeks old (the dog) when she knocked Emma down her one and only time. 

God blesses you with great dogs every once in a while during your life, and Maddie is that blessing for me.
